Avocado Turkey Burger with Pepper Bun

How cute are these? A little messy to eat but an awesome alternative to both beef burgers and buns.


1 pound of organic ground turkey

1 avocado

2/3 cup of feta cheese

2/3 cup of chopped onion

2 tomato slices

A handful of spinach

8 tbs hummus (I used roasted red pepper)

4 peppers (you choice of color)

1 tbs Extra Virgin Olive Oil


  1. In a large mixingbowl, combine ground turkey, avocado, feta cheese and onions , shape mixture into 4 patties
  2.  Set stove to medium high and add patties and olive oil to pan and cook for about 15 minutes
  3. Meanwhile, cut peppers in half and then add tomato and spinach on top of the bottom halves of the pepper
  4. Once the patties are cooked, add on the top of the tomato, add hummus on top of the patty and complete with the top of the pepper!
  5. Enjoy and get messy!
